UFL First Division side Loyola Meralco Sparks FC will face S.League side Geylang United FC in the 2012 edition of the Singapore Cup after the draw was held yesterday, April 29, in Singapore.
The tournament is composed of 11 out of 13 S.League clubs and four invited clubs from South East Asia. Two clubs, namely Courts Young Lions (Singapore Under-23) and Malaysia's Harimau Muda (Malaysia Under-23) will not be participating in the tournament as they prepare for the AFC Under-22 Asian Cup this June, but it has been confirmed that the junior side of Harimau Muda will be participating in the Singapore Cup as its replacement.
Along Loyola, the clubs that were invited by the Football Association of Singapore are Kanbazwa FC of Myanmar, Phnom Penh Crown of Cambodia and Yotha FC of Laos.
All the invited teams were put in the same half of the draw, while the S.League squads were seeded based on a competition prior to the draw. The draw of the tournament is as follows:

Loyola's opponents, Geylang United FC are currently in 12th place tied with Courts Young Lions and Tanjong Pagar United on points.
The tournament is set to kick-off on May 14, 2012.
